History | Past Members The Milford Concert Band is made up of amateur and semi-professional musicians from the Greater Milford, CT area ranging in age from High School students to retirees. Established in 1992 as the Milford Community Band under the guidance and direction of founders Julia Gerace and Sheila Sardi, the band has grown steadily. In 1996, before moving on to enjoy her family and pursue other ventures, Ms. Gerace presented the baton to its present Conductor and Milford resident, Steven L. Saunders. Renamed the Milford Concert band in 1997, the band has grown to upwards of 30 members and performs throughout the community year round.  In September 2002, The Milford Concert Band became the unanimous choice of the Board of Aldermen as the "official community band for the City of Milford".  Says Conductor and Artistic Director Steven L. Saunders, "We are very proud to be a part of this community, and our performances are our way of saying 'thank you' and giving something back to the community that supports us."  The Milford Concert Band is looking for performers of all ages to help spread the enjoyment of live band music to the public.
